Is civilization a trap? That is one of the big questions that we will try to answer in this second episode in a two part series focused upon early mankind. We will follow along as 4 make their long await debut in the Middle East in order to form the world's first known civilization. We will examine the things that came with mankind settling down; including domestication of crops, the development of our natural defenses against disease, and disastrous floods. The episode will focus on four keys necessary for civilization: water, agriculture, surplus of people, and communication. Lastly, we will look at the development of civilization's dark sides (imperialism and racism) via our unique ability to form social constructs.
