This is the second in a series of four episodes regarding Richard the Lionheart, the King of England and the ruler of the Angevin Empire. Richard has been crowned and plans to engage Saladin in the third crusade. In order to do so he will have to deal with King Philip of France, Tancred, the self proclaimed King of Sicily, as well as Cyprus' less than sane Isaac Komnenos. The Saladin Tithe, the Massacre at Clifford's Tower, and the origin of the split between Richard and Philip are all discussed in depth. The material in this podcast serves to cover the International Baccalaureates' Paper One Prescribed Subject of Military Leaders.

This is the first in a series of four episodes regarding Richard the Lionheart, the King of England and the ruler of the Angevin Empire. This episode goes through Richard's upbringing within a family known as the 'Devil's Brood.' It briefly touches upon Matilda (Richard's grandmother) as well as his mother, Eleanor, who served as both the Queen of France and England. The vast majority of the time will be spent examining the multiple rebellions against Richard's father, Henry II. The episode ends with the crowing of Richard. The material in this podcast serves to cover the International Baccalaureates' Paper One Prescribed Subject of Military Leaders.

This is the final episode in a series regarding the Spanish Inquisition. This episode includes random but interesting information that I was unable to fit into the prior four episodes. This includes significantly more on Medieval witchcraft, blood purity tests, and Inquisition cook books. The material in this podcast serves to cover the International Baccalaureates' topic of Societies in Transition (1400-1700s)

This is the second in a series regarding the Spanish Inquisition. This episode establishes the processes and policies that governed the actions of the Holy Tribunal. Perhaps not what you were expecting, the Spanish Inquisition had focused rules that determined each and every action taken. Subjects such as the edict of grace, the auto de fe, arrest/prosecution, and punishments are all covered. The material in this podcast serves to cover the International Baccalaureates' topic of Societies in Transition (1400-1700s)

This is the first in a series of five episodes regarding the Spanish Inquisition. The focus of this episode is on Anti-semitism, rather than the Spanish Inquisition itself. The roots of which can be found in the practice of 'othering,' Christianity, and the creation and spread of stereotypes. It seeks to explain the history behind anti-semitism while hopefully not glorifying the world's oldest form of hatred. The material in this podcast serves to cover the International Baccalaureates' topic of Societies in Transition (1400-1700s)

This is the final episode in our series on the Jomo Kenyatta, the first President of Kenya. This episode compares Jomo to America's founding father George Washington. It serves to detail Kenyatta slippage towards authoritarianism through the persecution of his political challengers, his fights with the press, the restablishment of oathing ceremonies, and the establishment of his personality cult via the propagation of his name. The material covers the IB's topic of Independence Movements between 1800 and 2000. Updated in 2023
