Eamon De Valera Part I: The formative years

This is the first episode in a six part series focused upon the Irish political leader Eamon De Valera.  This episode traces his early life in an attempt to better understand his unique 'one-of-a-kind personality.  We will examine the lack of information that Eamon has about his father, his love of education, his strike demands for hot chocolate, and his love of the Gaelic language.  That last part results in him meeting his wife and accidentally joining the shadow organization of the Irish Republican Brotherhood.  The material in the podcast works to cover IB Topic #8 - World Leaders
